Through our years of service with FBLA and thousands of education projects, we have listed some of the most frequently asked questions for your review.

What information do you need from me in order to confirm my school's participation?

What do you mean when you ask for my full legal name?

Your airline ticket MUST match your Photo ID. You will NOT be able to board your flight if there is any discrepancy in your name. Please verify your information before placing your travel request with NTS. The airline(s) will charge a fee for name changes or corrections once tickets have been issued.back to top

How will you send me a confirmation?

NTS will email a confirmation to you that will have a cost breakdown that matches the needs of your school. Be sure to check this confirmation very closely. If you have any questions, be sure to notify your NTS agent. back to top

How much time do I have before my school cost has to be purchased?

You should have a deadline printed on your original paperwork from your State Adviser. This deadline will apply to the complete cost including all features as contracted by you or your State Adviser. back to top

How do I pay for my invoice?

You can make your payment with a check (school or personal checks accepted) or with a major credit card. If you pay with a check, you will need to have your payment to us by the deadline. If necessary, you may want to overnight this payment to NTS to be sure it reaches the office in ample time. Be sure to use a courier such as FedEx or UPS to insure tracking and proper delivery of your check. For this delivery, please use our street address (National Travel Systems, 6502 Slide Road, Suite # 406, Lubbock TX 79424) DO NOT USE REGULAR U.S. MAIL! If you pay with a credit card, you will need to call or email NTS with your credit card number, expiration date, name as printed on the card, and the billing address for the card. NOTE: A 4% surcharge will be added to the land portion only. Please contact NTS for further details. back to top

Do I need approval if my travel dates are not the same as the others?

Yes. If you have permission from your State Adviser to alter your dates, NTS must be notified at once. Otherwise, your flights will be confirmed to fit your state’s needs. back to top

How much luggage can I check-in and carry-on?

Baggage restrictions will vary according to the airline. Generally, you are allowed to check-in two pieces of baggage, each piece not exceeding 70lbs or 62” in circumference. Carry-on luggage should be restricted to one item that can fit into the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. Ask you NTS agent for the requirements that fit your itinerary. back to top

When do I receive my documents?

A document packet will be sent to you, containing your adviser instructions, airline ticket(s), spare itineraries to leave at home, luggage tags, and wristbands. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE A PHYSICAL STREET ADDRESS FOR THE OVERNIGHT DELIVERY OF YOUR DOCUMENTS. back to top


What is an acceptable proof of citizenship?

Passengers 18 years of age or older are required to have one of the following:
1) An official photo identification issued by a government authority
OR
2) Two forms of identification, one of which must be issued by a government authority.

Acceptable forms of ID include the following:

Children under the age of 18 traveling with an adult are not required to show ID at time of check-in.

Children ages 15-17 traveling alone need one of the following:

Children ages 5-14 traveling alone are not required to show ID at time of check-in, however, they are encouraged to carry some form of ID during travel. back to top

How will I know if you are able to find roommates for myself or my students?

On the Housing Request Form, type in the name(s) of the guests and then check the box for room type that you would like to confirm. Upon receipt of your form, NTS will cross-check other school requests from your state and place you or your student(s) in an available room. Your invoice from NTS will reflect the room type you are given. You and/or your student(s) will be placed on a waitlist if a roommate(s) are not yet available. Every attempt will be made to place you and your students in the room type you have requested. back to top

How soon will I have my flight schedule?

Your initial information packet from your State Adviser will list your preliminary flight itinerary as confirmed with the group. These flight numbers and times will be reconfirmed approximately 30 days prior to departure. You will be notified of any changes. If you have any questions about this process, please notify NTS. back to top

How will I recognize the person meeting my flight?

In your document package you will be given a wristband for each person that has purchased an airport transfer. It is very important that each person have this wristband attached and visible upon entry into the baggage claim area at the airport. The NTS transfer team specialists will have on shirts that exactly match the color of your wristband. You will be met at the baggage claim entrance and assisted with claiming your luggage and boarding your bus to your hotel.back to top

How will I know where to go for my room key(s)?

In your document package you will be given exact instructions and location for the distribution of your room key(s). Please proceed to the designated area as soon as you arrive at the hotel. Every effort will be made to obtain your room key(s) for early distribution. If you have an early arrival, be prepared to store your luggage at the hotel and return at a later time to collect your key. back to top

What if I want to charge incidentals to my room?

NTS will prepay your room and tax. Incidental charges are your responsibility. The hotel front desk will need an imprint of your credit card or a cash deposit at check-in. back to top

How do I meet my bus for my return transfers?

The exact instructions for your return airport transfer will be given to you at the room key distribution area. Do not leave this area without knowing how to catch the bus back to the airport at the end of your stay! You will be given a different wristband color for this transfer. NTS transfer team specialists will be in the lobby area of your hotel to assist you with this transfer process. You will be given an exact time to be ready to board your bus. Please be on time! The bus will not wait for late arrivals. If you miss your bus, you will be placed on the next available bus. back to top

Do I get a receipt for my school expenses when I get home?

Upon completion of the trip, the NTS staff will prepare a detailed receipt for you to submit to your school. This will come to you in the form of an email WordDocument. back to top
